“Wheres The Beef?”

Day: 171

Holy Jesus, am I ever hungover

This evening Markus and Liz both had flights to seperate parts of the country, but they still had the entire day to kill before their flights. We decided to keep the car for another day and drive out to another part of Los Glaciers National Park; Lake Roca and the ranch that sits on that waterfront.

After driving down a bumpy dirt road for a little more than and hour, my brain already feeling wrecked from last night, the drab scenery turned into a colorful ranch with plenty animals and farming type stuff to take photos of, there was even a cowboy!. We got a coffee at the little cafe then went wandering the fields, trying our best to stay out of the cowpies and thorny plants. The coffee helped to clear my head and let me feel a little better, and by picnic time next to the lake I was feeling like a champ again.

The afternoon passed quickly and soon we were driving Liz to the airport and I was asleep in the backseat, the bumpy road rocking me into a deep slumber.

Now I know that this day is not actually over yet when I am posting this, but I have a bus ticket south into Puerta Natales, Chile early in the morning and I wanted to get these pictures up because I don’t know when the next internet will be around.

Great pictures! So similar to the plains as you approach the Rockies. Several of the pictures you took could have depicted the gold rush era. I may be adding this place to my must visit list. I don’t know if you looked better in the afternoon. You had your glasses on. You sure looked messed up in the morning. Stay safe. Love, Mom
