Smoggy Beijing; Again

Day: 282

Felicia (who obviously eats some disgusting things) and I arrive at the Beijing train station around two this afternoon, a taxi ride and we had found a room in an underground hostel beneath China’s biggest shopping mall.  After some well deserved wandering from being cramped in a train for two days (which included me buying a copy of War and Peace for the flight home), we found a theatre with an english version of Pirates 3 and enjoyed.

After spending so much time in the beauty of the wilderness of the desert, I would have to agree with you Rob that the city is just not your favorite place to be.
Try to enjoy your last few days there and know that we all look forward to your safe return.
    Love, Dad

It’s been fun traipsing across the Great Mall of China with you.

Hope you’re enjoying our last few days as much as I am :) nr

So is this end of your trip — did I come in on the last act?

  • Felicia says:

hey, Ref Pirates of the Carribean in China, my Mom tells me that they tried to cut out most of Chow Yun Fatt’s role cos he was disgracing the Chinese by playing an evil pirate (WTF?!).

apparently they even considered banning the entire movie.

    crazy fuckin’ Chinese authorities.
