A Grand Canyon Sunrise
December 7th, 2010:
For the past ten days, Felicia and I have been hosting a pair of her friends from Singapore, Samantha and Bernadette. As part of such an arrangement, they get to use my living room floor for sleeping and I get an excuse to take in some local sights. Last week we spent 4 days on the road going from Southern California, to Vegas (where I lost $81) then onwards to the Grand Canyon. Even though it was slightly chilly, it was still the perfect time to visit, with almost no one around we had most of the Grand Canyon to ourselves to enjoy the quiet sunrise.
Me, climbing over various railings/rocks/etc to get the shot I want. Needless to say, Felicia was quite worried after reading in the Grand Canyon guide that numerous deaths have occurred from “overzealous photographic endeavors.”
My amazing wife, looking absolutely radiant/tough with dusty knees and a wonderful smile.
All four of us.
In the next couple of days I will get up some more snapshots from this little trip. Promise.
