Mom Says I'm Running Away

Felicia and I met while traveling, and we are constantly intrigued by the stories of various couples that we photograph each week.

Quite unlike us – who are two people from two separate continents randomly meeting in a land far far away – Shawna & Matt are high school sweethearts who hail from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania (sorry about the Steelers). Very much like us though, they are now happily-settled in Southern California, enjoying the year-round sunshine, great weather and California’s overall awesomeness.

So on this rather un-winter-like day, we got to spend a sunny Californian Saturday with Shawna & Matt in Seal Beach, where throngs of other Californians (whether native or not), had come out to enjoy the sun, sand and sea.

It may not show in this picture, but once the sun started dipping towards the horizon, it got significantly colder, and we were amazed at how quickly the beach emptied out!

Days like these just make me love what I do even more: wonderful weather, beautiful light, great clients, and my awesome wife working beside me. Not much more I could ask for, could I?
