Mom Says I'm Running Away

March 29th, 2011:

For the last two weeks we have essentially been shooting nonstop.  Across California and Nevada, driving everywhere, holding down the shutter, filling memory cards/hard drives and driving some more.   Every evening I download everything we shot, glance through it real quick, and start editing… and keep editing, blogging or working on my computer without breaking until I either am forced to bed through exhaustion or it’s time to leave for another shoot or meeting.

While I frantically edit, stress about delivery times and make sure our clients receive their images quickly Felicia reminds me to breathe, makes sure I am fed and completely takes care of me, never complaining about the “adventures” I drag her on, or the career we have chosen.  I am thankful for all she does for me, from shooting weddings in the rain with me, to holding my flash in abysmally cold conditions and holding my hand when I need reassurance.  She knows what I am thinking before I do, she is constantly on the lookout for new angles she knows I’ll love and lives her life with a passion and joy that I aspire too.

My imagery has come far in the last 5 years of this blog, but I can say without a doubt, I wouldn’t be able to create what I do now without her.  Thank you Felicia, for everything.
