Cindy and Mike Engagement Session

Jan 29th, 2010:

I just finished up pictures for Cindy and Mike at Santa Monica Pier,  where we shot under the clear blue sky after a week of storms here in Southern California.
Also be sure to check out the new  “Engagement Photos” section on my webpage, where I’ve featured some of my favorite pictures!

A New Year

New Years Day 2010:

The tree stand looks sad and empty, and the front of the house looks dull with no lights.  Thus we begin a spectacular new year!

Happy New Year!

5 Years and Counting:

This blog is starting its 5th year now. When it started I never thought I would see things through that long.  I also never thought I would be a married man.  The fact that both happened are spectacular, and I look forward to dedicating more time to my wife and my blogging [...]

Santa Crawling V4.0

Intoxicated Claus:

Whats better than merely celebrating Christmas? Celebrating Christmas dressed as Santa Claus!
Whats better than merely celebrating Christmas dressed as Santa Claus? Celebrating Christmas dressed as Santa Claus whilst drinking too much!
…and that’s what we did! For the 4th year in a row we gathered a dozen Santas (and one Frosty!) and set out on [...]

Staycating

Early December:

My amazing wife went and did something amazing. While I guess I shouldn’t find that all too surprising in itself, this time she went above and beyond and got us a deluxe ocean view room at the Shangri-la Santa Monica for $6. Goals

The Future:

About 4 years ago I came up with this list of things I want to do before I die.  I was feeling a little down lately, until I came across this and started checking things off.

Build my own [...]

When September Comes

Early September:

Been a mellow week or so, spent a few days in my Dad’s truck running boxes from Grandpa’s house in Orange County to Moms house in Riverside, we are quickly filling her garage.  The multiple 60-mile roundtrips had a soothing momentum to them, just blasting the music and letting my face get pummeled by [...]

The Ahlgren: Engaged

Paparazzi Style:
So my very good friend Daniel decided he wanted to pop the question to his lady Scherrie.  Not to be outdone by anyone, he made sure to make it an occasion to remember,  first he picked up a ring from Brilliant Earth, a supplier of conflict-free diamonds from eco-friendly mines in Canada, then he [...]

Trisha and Phil

Another Saturday Night:

It was a beautiful Southern California August night, and Trisha and Phil got married. They let me take part in this special day and document it as it happened.  Everything went beautifully, and I just want to congratulate them again on there special day.
I think being married myself is opening my eyes more [...]
