We had driven the winding canyon roads in the Malibu hills multiple times, including this particular one when we did Karen & Nolan’s engagement shoot. Little did we know that there was a wedding venue tucked away high in the hills: Rancho Sol Del Pacific.
Mariel & Fernando had their pool-side ceremony overlooking the Pacific Ocean, and then celebrated with their friends and family who had some exceptional dance moves.
Congratulations Mariel & Fernando! Thanks so much for having us.

A couple weeks back, Felicia and I headed down to Orange County to spend the day with Brian and Lindsay for their wedding at the Summit House in Fullerton. The drinks flowed like the celebration it was and Brian + Lindsay were both totally chill while we took pictures before and after their ceremony.
Congrats to you both! I hope the honeymoon was epic!

Ah, Jake & Noelle. We’ve gushed about them when recalling their engagement shoot in Paso Robles, and to say we were looking forward to their wedding would be an understatement. Simply by being their amazing selves, it would have been a pretty rad wedding. But they upped the ante by adding a super fun wedding party, horses (Noelle’s dream come true), and the USC Marching Band.
It’s basically too much awesomeness to describe. I’ll let the pictures speak for themselves.
Congratulations Jake & Noelle! We will miss you!

We had so much fun at Krystal & Daniel’s airport engagement shoot, and were looking forward to seeing them again at their wedding. It took place at The Mountain Mermaid, one of the most unique venues in Los Angeles with a very colorful history.
Krystal did an incredible job with the travel-themed details, she herself looked absolutely amazing, glowing with joy and laughter all day, and together with Daniel, made for a very dapper couple.
Congratulations, Krystal & Daniel!

In discussing possible spots for their engagement session, I suggested Placerita Canyon Park to John & Lynda. They surprised me by extensively scouting out their favorite spots in this sprawling park, and even spent many hours clearing brush on the trails, so their choice spots would be ready for pictures. Talk about commitment!
Their hard work certainly paid off, as we had an incredible shoot with them. They came ready with travel-related props, since, like Felicia & I, they too met while traveling.
Thanks John & Lynda for being amazing!

Corie & Kyle live in Northern California, and were one of the rare instances where we had never met the bride & groom before the wedding, not even a Skype call. We were very intrigued about meeting them, and when we did, we certainly wished we had gotten to know them sooner, because they are AWESOME!
They have such an amazing energy about them, and had us laughing all day long. We often find that friends & family are a very powerful reflection of who the couple is, and it was so great that Corie & Kyle’s wedding guests, whether relations or friends, were a genuinely fun, friendly, and warm bunch!
Their ceremony, which was officiated by a mutual friend and included friends & family speaking, was one of the most sincere, fun, and emotional ones we will remember for a long time to come.
When a wedding day involves discussions about Tesla and Grumpy Cat, and toasts include references to Tina Fey, Neil deGrasse Tyson, and space exploration, we know that Corie & Kyle are truly “our people”.
Congratulations Corie & Kyle! You guys rock and made it way too fun for us!

Nothing makes us realize the passage of time more than the life progression of our clients: From their engagement shoot, to their December wedding, now L + J are expecting Baby E! It’s incredible how much can change in one year, and we are absolutely thrilled for them. Their baby is going to have some amazing parents!
L + J have been some of our favorite clients ever, and we’re even more proud to call them our friends.

Heidi & Kevin are very much into sailing and the sea, and they rightfully had their ceremony & reception at the California Yacht Club in Marina Del Rey.
Their ceremony, which incorporated Irish blessing stones, was one of the most emotionally-charged ones we’ve witnessed. Tears of joy were shed, and there were few dry eyes left even among the guests by the time they concluded!
Heidi & Kevin are some of the sweetest people we’ve worked with, and we were pleasantly surprised when they acknowledged us during their thank you toast, not just for our photography, but for being an example of a good marriage partnership. That was completely unexpected, but much appreciated!
Congratulations, Heidi & Kevin. We are so happy for you two!

A few weeks back, Felicia and I had the chance to catch up again with Nick + Natasha for their wedding at the Oviatt Penthouse in downtown Los Angeles. It was an intimate gathering with their closest friends and family , and since I have know Nick for a good number of years now, I bumped into quite a few friends of my own, including many of our Santa Pub Crawl buddies!
After the ceremony, which incorporated Persian traditions to honor Natasha’s family heritage, they partied the night away. It was a cool, laid-back, fun, wedding day, befitting of Nick & Natasha.
Congrats guys! Thanks for having us.

Last Friday we braved traffic on the 405 and headed down to Venice Beach for Daniel & Mary’s engagement shoot. When Daniel & Mary got there, we realized that they faced the same predicament too, and we took a little walk to the Venice Canals to shake off the “traffic tension”.
We wandered the waterside neighborhood for a bit, then headed down to the beach, where Felicia cautioned us to get away from the water as dark crowds loomed towards the end of the shoot. Thankfully, there was no lightning this time.
Congrats Daniel & Mary! See you in a few months.
