\n\nThe village is populated by the Wa Ethnic group. The village was established in 1971 for refuges from the war between the communists and the Burmese military. It was 2 travel days away from their original home and the local Shan tribes at the time donated the land to let the Wa start the village. \n\nThe villages has 80 households and most practice christianity.
